"..About the picture, I loved every inch, looks very Rayeheart if you ask me, and all the details on that sword... omg! Priceless! ♥
I could not be more grateful about it. Thank you so much again hun! ♥"

Wow, such a compliment. :)
HAPPINESS! :orange:

He liked it ^_^
BTW, to everyone who misses him:
He said that what I wrote moved him to tears, and that he misses everyone he met on d.A. :heart:

What with the announcement that Drachea had been trolled off d.A, I finally got up the nerve to draw some support Art. :)

I figure my support through my Art will be more of a thorn in those who oppose then joining the Drama fight.

Btw, don't bring drama here, cause I'll hide your comment faster then you can read the title.

So, I've been seeing so many people who were fans of Drachea still showing the love, and he was one of my favorite artists. His art work inspired me to draw again; the nostalgia of Sailor Moon the Anime I begun drawing with.. And so, this is for him, and his supporters, and to signal that the Revolution has begun. Orange followers everywhere are joining 'Drachea's Army' ;)

:orange: The Orange Movement has Begun :orange:

Drachea was soo much fun to draw. *^_^* I wish I could draw him many times without looking like an obsessed fan girl, lol.

I designed the sword myself specially for Drachea, sort of going for an orange and a crown, something powerful and delicate.
Really, I don't know if Drachea would have a sword, or like this one, so I reaally hope it suits him. ^_^

The sword is symbolic. The ribbon and the rose tied to it is symbolic too. It's obviously meant to represent a battle, but the ribbon and the rose show that it's a passive threat. More of an acknowledgment, not a surrender but a willingness to walk away because the TRUTH is sound in the heart. And that is all that is needed.

Anyway.. I learned a few things when drawing this:
Using gray for shading under colored tones
combining different mediums on top of others
only re outlining important lines at the end

..and Drachea has A LOT of Sun shine in his color scheme. :heart:
I actually have a yellow ink color called 'sunshine' and used it above all others. X3;
:orange::orange::orange::orange::orange::orange::orange:
Once you stare at orange so long, you begin to see it everywhere, and it makes you happy.
:orange::orange::orange::orange::orange::orange::orange:
...
I worked on this alll night and most of the morning, and I'm so tired.
But this is the first time in a long time that I worked really really hard on a picture. I don't push myself as hard on my own pictures, mainly cause, I have no idea how to shade it, or how to do lighting.

Edit: forgot to mention what I used:
acid free 9x12 bristol board, Winsor & Newton inks, prisma colored pencils, Faber Castell art markers, Derwent Graphitint pencils, Derwint coloursoft colored pencils, uniball ink pen
:orange: :heart:

Drachea belongs to :icondrachearannak: :rose: Who is missed.

I don't know who this guy is, but now I'm curious to find out :3

Your picture is very nice though. The details on the sword hilt are just...WOW.
